Terms of use

The terms on which this website is provided. Purchases are made through the Factory Store, Amazon or a retailer, each under its own terms of sale.

Last updated

These terms of use apply to the website nakavision.com and to everyone who visits it. They explain what the site is for, what you may and may not do on it, where the Nakavision C1 is sold, how the iCSee app relates to us, and what our responsibility is. They do not govern a purchase: you buy from the Nakavision Factory Store or from Amazon under their terms, and your rights as a buyer come from those terms and from the law.

Who we are

This website is operated by Nakavision Ltd (“Nakavision”, “we”), a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office, company number and contact details are on the imprint page. By using the website you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

What this website is for

The website describes the Nakavision C1 dual-lens outdoor PTZ security camera, publishes support articles and downloads, and lets you contact us, register a camera and apply to become a reseller. It sells nothing directly. We take care that what it says about the C1 is accurate and correct errors when we find them, but specifications, features that depend on third-party software and prices shown for information can change; the listing you buy from and the documentation in the box are what apply to your purchase. Support articles are general guidance and do not replace the quick-start guide supplied with the camera.

Buying a Nakavision C1

In the United Kingdom the C1 is sold through the Nakavision Factory Store at shop.nakavision.com, which runs on Shopify, and through Amazon.co.uk. When you buy from the Factory Store, the store’s terms of sale, returns policy and privacy notice apply, and Shopify’s checkout and privacy policy apply to the payment; when you buy from Amazon, Amazon’s conditions of sale and its returns policy apply. Your contract of sale is made on that store under its terms, and the information you must be given before you buy under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 — the price, delivery and your right to cancel — is given there. Our warranty comes with the camera whichever store you bought it from.

The iCSee app

The C1 is set up and viewed through the iCSee app, made and operated by Hangzhou Jftech Co., Ltd. The app, the account you create in it and the cloud services it offers are provided by that company under its own terms and privacy policy. Nakavision does not develop, operate or control the app, cannot access your account or your video, and is not responsible for the app’s availability, its features or changes to it. We support the camera; for the app itself, its provider’s help channels apply. None of this affects your rights against us if the camera itself is faulty.

Using this website

You may use the website for its intended purposes, and you may link to it. You must not try to gain access to any part of the site that is not meant for visitors; interfere with its operation, probe it for weaknesses or overload it; submit a form by automated means or more often than the site allows; or send us content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights or that you have no right to send. The forms are rate-limited and protected against automated submission; we may block traffic that breaches these terms.

Downloads and support content

Firmware, software and documents offered on the site are provided for use with the Nakavision C1 only, and are provided as they are. Install firmware over a stable connection and do not disconnect the camera while it restarts. Firmware from any other source, or any modification of the camera’s software, is at your own risk and is not covered by the warranty.

Intellectual property

The text, images, videos, design and code of the website belong to Nakavision or are used under licence. You may view and print pages for your own use and quote short extracts with a link to the source; you may not copy or reuse the content for commercial purposes without our written permission. The Nakavision name and logo are ours. iCSee, Amazon, Shopify, YouTube and other names on the site are the trade marks of their owners.

Our liability

We provide the website free of charge and take care over it, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by relying on information on the site, by the site being unavailable, or by third-party sites we link to. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if a camera is faulty.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own courts, and if you live in another country you keep the protection of any mandatory rules of consumer law there. Before going to court, please write to us first. We are not obliged to use an alternative dispute resolution provider and do not; the imprint page explains the complaints route.

Changes to this document

We may change these terms when the site or the law changes. The date they were last updated is printed at the top of this page, and the version on the site when you use it is the one that applies. If a change reduces your rights, we announce it on this page before it takes effect.
