Warranty & returns
Every C1 comes with a two-year manufacturer’s warranty. This is what it covers, how to make a claim, and how a return works.
This page sets out the manufacturer’s warranty that Nakavision Ltd gives with every Nakavision C1 camera: what it covers, how to claim under it, and how returns work. It applies to anyone who bought a C1, whichever store they bought it from. It is a voluntary guarantee from the maker; the rights you have against the seller by law are separate, and are described at the end.
Who gives this warranty and for how long
Nakavision Ltd, the company whose details are on the imprint page, guarantees the Nakavision C1 for 24 months from the date of purchase shown on your receipt or order confirmation. The warranty is given to the person who bought the camera and covers the camera as supplied in the box. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 a manufacturer’s guarantee is binding on the person who gives it, so this page is a promise you can hold us to.
What it covers
Defects in materials and workmanship: a fault that is in the camera when you receive it, or that appears within the warranty period under normal use as described in the quick-start guide. If we accept a claim, we will repair the camera or replace it with the same or an equivalent model; if neither is possible within a reasonable time, we will refund the price you paid for it. A repaired or replaced camera is covered for the rest of the original period.
What it does not cover
- Physical damage: drops, impact, crushed or cut cables, and damage caused during installation.
- Water ingress where the camera’s seals have been opened, or damage from mounting or using the camera other than as the guide describes.
- Firmware or software not published by Nakavision, or any modification of the camera’s hardware or software.
- Misuse and accident, and normal wear or cosmetic marks that do not affect operation.
- Consumables and items not supplied by us, including the microSD card, which is not included with the camera.
- Faults in third-party software or services, including the iCSee app and any cloud service, which are provided by their own developers.
How to make a claim
- Keep your proof of purchase — the receipt or order confirmation from the Factory Store or Amazon. Registering your camera makes a claim quicker to match, but it is not a condition of the warranty.
- Write to support@nakavision.com or use the contact form with a description of the fault and, if you can, a photo or a short video. Many faults can be diagnosed from that, and some can be fixed with a setting or a firmware update.
- If the camera needs to come back to us, we will tell you where and how to send it, and we will confirm the return in writing first. Please do not send anything before that.
- We aim to repair or replace within a reasonable time and will keep you informed. If we find that the fault is not covered, we will tell you why before doing anything you would be charged for.
Returns and refunds
Returning a camera for a reason other than a fault — you changed your mind — is handled by the store you bought from, not under this warranty. The Nakavision Factory Store accepts returns within 30 days under its returns policy, published on the store. Purchases from Amazon.co.uk follow Amazon’s returns policy, which also allows 30 days. Warranty claims for a fault come to us whichever store you bought from — though if a fault appears in the first 30 days, your quickest remedy may be the seller, as the next section explains.
Your statutory rights
This warranty is in addition to your legal rights and does not reduce them. If you bought as a consumer in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 entitles you, against the seller, to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If they are not, you can reject them for a full refund within 30 days of delivery, and after that ask for a repair or replacement — or, if that fails, a price reduction or a refund. Those rights are against the seller, the Factory Store or Amazon, and nothing on this page affects them.
Changes to this document
The warranty that applies to your camera is the one published on this page on the day you bought it; a later change does not reduce it. The date this page was last updated is printed at the top.
